What is Health and Well-Being?

 

Is the words ‘health and well-being’ which pop-up in my consultations when I ask, “what brings you to see me today?” It covers such a large area and is not always specific to the presenting problem the client has.

Health and well-being takes time. As you improve your health your find that your well-being will improve too.

Make Yourself a Priority

 

  • Make time for yourself
  • Stop feeling guilty
  • Practise self compassion
  • Don’t hesitate to ask for help
  • Let go of the need for control
  • Practise saying no
Let’s start with the basics:
 
  • Maintaining good health and well-being is essential for leading a long, fulfilling life. It is important to incorporate healthy lifestyle habits into your daily routine.
  • For you body to function at it’s best it needs a diet rich in vitamins, minerals and other nutrients. A balanced nutrient rich diet.
  • Exercise should also included as part of your daily regime. Evst 30 minutes of physical activity can boost energy levels and reduce stress.
  • A Healthy lifestyle can help to reduce the risk of disease, such as heart disease, diabetes, and cancer.
  • Reducing stress levels can have a positive impact on your physical & mental health.

  • Taking time out to relax & unwind from your day is beneficial for a balanced emotional state.
  • Some of the techniques you can use to help you relax are mindfulness, meditating & walking. These can help reduce anxiety and depression. It is also recommended to stay connected and reach out for help or support if you need it.
 
In Summary:
 
We often tend to prioritise ourselves & our health last so here is your reminder to take some time out for you. If your body and mind are strong, then everything else will follow.
